When I first stood up to give a presentation (sadly over 30 years ago!) I was terrified. My knees shook, I was totally unprepared and I made a complete fool of myself. To ensure that would never happen again I enrolled myself in a public speaking course. It was the best investment I have ever made. Now several years later I am modestly considered one of the best presenters in my field, have won numerous awards and passionately love what I do. Over the years I have perfected my skills, learnt the tricks of the trade and also learnt to avoid the pitfalls. I have been teaching public speaking and presentation skills for 10 years having set up the SpeakEASY School to help people become confdent in all forms of communication. With Zoom, Microsoft Teams and other Webinar Platforms becoming really important, especially in these times of working from home, I have also adapted my courses to encompass these online mediums.
